Glass grating principle of introduction

1.Slow reflection cracks

Reflective cracks are caused by the concentration of stress in the overlying asphalt overlay due to the large displacement of the old concrete surfacing near seams or crevices, which includes horizontal displacement due to temperature and humidity changes, Effect of the vertical shear displacement. The former results in a more concentrated tensile stress in the overlay over the joint or crevice while the latter subjects the overburden over the joint to greater bending and shear stresses.

As the modulus of the geogrid is very large, up to 67Gpa, as a rigid hard interlayer used in the asphalt overlay, its role is to suppress the stress, release of strain, at the same time as a reinforced asphalt material, improve the structure of the overlay Tensile and shear resistance, so as to achieve the purpose of reducing cracks. Practice has shown that the corresponding crack energy of a horizontally oriented fractured rock can be moved 0.6 meters from its starting point and the stiffened material over a width of 1.5 meters helps to ensure the complete dissipation of energy on both sides of the fracture.

2. Anti-fatigue cracking

Asphalt overlay on the old cement concrete pavement, its main function is to improve the function of the pavement, but does not contribute much to the bearing effect. The rigid concrete pavement under the overlay still plays a key bearing role. Asphalt overlays on older asphalt pavements are different, and the overburden of asphalt will be carried with the old asphalt pavement. As a result, asphalt overlays on asphalt pavements, except for reflective cracking, also experience fatigue cracking due to long-term loads. We stress analysis of the asphalt overlay on the old asphalt pavement: due to the flexible surface layer under the asphalt overlay with the same properties as the asphalt overlay, the road surface will be bent when subjected to the load Shen. In the direct contact with the wheels of the asphalt overlay under pressure, in the edge of the wheel outside the area, the surface layer by the pulling force, due to the two force regions of different force and close to each other, so in two by The force of the junction area that sudden changes in force prone to damage. Under long-term load, fatigue cracking occurs.

Fiberglass geogrid in the asphalt overlay, the above-mentioned compressive stress and tensile stress can be dispersed in the buffer zone between the two stress areas, where the stress changes rather than sudden change, reducing the stress mutation on the asphalt Destruction of the overcoat. At the same time, the low elongation of fiberglass geogrids reduces the deflection of the pavement and ensures that the pavement will not undergo transitional deformation.

3.  High temperature rutting

Asphalt concrete has rheology at high temperature, which is manifested in the following: the asphalt pavement in summer is soft and tacky; under the vehicle load, there is a depression in the stressed area, and the asphalt surface can not be fully recovered after the vehicle load is removed Of the situation, that produced a plastic deformation; repeated rolling in the plastic under the action of plastic deformation continue to accumulate, the formation of rutting. After analyzing the asphalt surface structure, we can know that due to the rheological property of asphalt concrete at high temperature, there is no mechanism in the surface layer that can constrain the aggregate movement in the asphalt concrete when subjected to the load, This is the main reason for rut formation.

A fiberglass geogrid is used in the asphalt overlay, which acts as a backbone in the asphalt overlay. Aggregate in asphalt concrete penetrates between the grids to form a composite mechanical locking system to limit the movement of aggregates and increase the lateral restraint in the asphalt overlay. The various parts of the asphalt cover each other to prevent the asphalt surface layer Pass, thus play a role in resistance to rutting.
