The type of RTM 


RTM process started in the 1950s, at present, RTM molding process has been widely used in construction, transportation, telecommunications, health, aerospace and other fields. Here are some of the RTM technology.

 

1. RTM, resin transfer molding. The technology is based on polyurethane technology. The mold is closed and the resin is injected into the preform with a low glass content of about 20-45%.


2. VARIT, vacuum assisted resin transfer injection molding. The technology uses a vacuum to draw the resin into the preform, but it can also be pressed into the resin with a vacuum of about 10-28 inches of mercury.


3. VARTM, vacuum assisted resin transfer injection molding. Generally less porous products, glass fiber content can be increased.


4. VRTM, vacuum resin transfer molding.


5. VIP, vacuum impregnation method.


6. VIMP, variable immersion plastic method. Resin by vacuum or self-weight movement, compaction impregnation.


7. TERTM, Thermal Expansion RTM. In the preform insert the world, the resin impregnated and the mold and the molded product heating. Core material by thermal expansion, compaction layer. Use of this compaction, combined with the surface pressure molding.


8. RARTM, rubber-assisted RTM. In the TERTM method core material instead of using rubber instead. Compression rubber molded products, so greatly reduce the porosity, glass fiber content up to 60-70%.


9. RIRM, resin injection cycle molding. The combination of vacuum and pressure alternately injects the resin into multiple molds to circulate the resin until the preform is sufficiently saturated.


10. CIRTM, Co-Injection RTM. Co-injection of RTM allows the injection of several different resins, as well as the use of several preforms that utilize vacuum bags and flexible surface molds.


11. RLI, resin liquid immersion (stain) stains. The resin was injected into the lower mold, the upper mold was covered after entering the preform, heated and molded with the autoclave molding pressure. Heating reduces the viscosity of the resin, good fluidity and easy penetration.


12. SCRIMPTM Seaman Composites Lipid Impregnation Plastic. apply for patent. Use of vacuum bag impregnated resin pressure, impregnation speed, a wide area. The resin can also be sufficiently impregnated in the thickness direction of the preform, and a vacuum bag and a soft mold must be used.

14. VECTM Virtual Design Composites The core technology of VEC is the patented "Float Mold" idea. The composite material is mounted between two filled liquid steel pressure vessels, and the mold forms a seal along the entire length of the vessel. The vessel is filled with a compressible, thermally conductive liquid, usually water.
